This wide waterfall on the Zambezi River, located between the border cities of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and Livingstone in Zambia, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous and popular travel destinations in Southern Africa. Many activities are offered, including safaris and a visit to the falls.
The waterfall is neither the tallest nor the widest in the world, but it is the largest. Its width of approximately 1,700 meters and a height of nearly 110 meters make it the largest waterfall in terms of overall size. In June, the water level is typically at its peak, with about 3,000 tons of water crashing down every second with a thunderous roar.
