Itinerary Highlights:
Day 1 – 5: George, Fancourt
George, located in the heart of the Garden Route, is the largest town in the area, situated away from the coast. The town itself offers plenty of shopping opportunities and a lovely market on the weekends. However, it mainly attracts visitors due to its excellent golf courses and stunning location. The backdrop of the famous Outeniqua Mountains adds to its charm.
The luxurious 5-star Fancourt Golf Resort offers 115 rooms equipped with all comforts. The rooms feature private balconies or patios. There are three restaurants in the resort to take care of your culinary needs. Fancourt boasts three outstanding golf courses: Montague Course, Outeniqua Course, and the Links Course. The Links Course is available only to hotel guests and members, and comes with a high green fee.
Both the Montague and Outeniqua Courses are parkland courses. Beautifully designed fairways, large water hazards, imposing bunkers, and trees guarantee a variety of challenges, with the impressive Outeniqua Mountains in the background.
The newly opened “The Links Experience” course in February 2025 is a fantastic 9-hole golf course. It can be played as a standard 9-hole course or as a 9-hole Par 3 course, offering different tee options for a variety of playing experiences! This innovative course provides a unique and flexible golfing experience, making it suitable for golfers of all skill levels.
The four-night package includes 4 nights with breakfast in a Classic Double Room at Fancourt Hotel, and either three rounds of golf on the Montague and Outeniqua Courses, or the option to exchange a round of golf for a restaurant or spa voucher. For an additional charge of €210 per person, you can play on the famous Fancourt Links Golf Course!
Day 5 – 8: Knysna (approx. 70 km)
The charming small town of Knysna, with its many artists, bars, restaurants, vacation homes, and interesting shops, is nestled between the mountain forests of the Outeniqua Mountains and a large saltwater lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route. Your 5-star accommodation is a boutique hotel that offers views of Knysna and the lagoon. You will play one round of golf each at the top golf courses of Simola and Pezula.
