Itinerary Highlights:
Day 1-4: Cape Town (30 km)
Welcome to the Mother City, the beautiful city of Cape Town. There’s so much to see here: the Waterfront, Table Mountain, a trip to the Cape of Good Hope, and much more. You will stay in a cozy 4-star guesthouse beneath Table Mountain in the Gardens area, with a view of the mountain. Restaurants are just a few minutes’ walk away.
Day 4-7: Stellenbosch (50 km)
On day 4, you’ll drive to your next accommodation in Stellenbosch, the second oldest city in South Africa, located in the heart of the wine region. Stroll through the historic town centre with its many restaurants and cafes. You’ll stay centrally in a 4-star guesthouse. On day 5, enjoy a full-day guided wine tour in the Stellenbosch wine area. You’ll see stunning landscapes and beautiful wineries (wine tasting included, lunch excluded).
Day 7-9: Oudtshoorn (approx. 400 km)
On day 7, drive through the interior along the beautiful Route 62 to Oudtshoorn. Oudtshoorn is the gem of the Little Karoo and is famous for its ostrich farms. Some of the farms offer guided tours. The Cango Caves, a massive limestone cave system, are also a must-see.
Day 9-12: Knysna (approx. 120 km)
On day 10, continue along the Garden Route to the lovely resort town of Knysna. You’ll find a small waterfront at Knysna Lagoon, and just outside of Knysna are some beautiful beaches. Take trips to Tsitsikamma National Park or visit the Knysna Elephant Park. You’ll stay in a 4-star lodge with a view of Knysna Lagoon.
Day 12-15: Addo Park (approx. 300 km)
The final accommodation of your trip is at Addo Park. You’ll stay in rustic, cozy chalets or suites in the main house. On day 13, you’ll enjoy a half-day safari in Addo Elephant National Park. On day 14, head to a private park—Schotia Private Game Reserve, known for its high lion population. Here, too, you’ll enjoy a multi-hour safari in an open jeep, followed by dinner around the campfire. On day 15, you’ll head to Port Elizabeth airport for your flight home.
