Itinerary Highlights:
Day 1: Waterval Boven (250 km)
Drive from Johannesburg to your first accommodation in Waterval Boven. Upon arrival, relax in a 4-star guesthouse located in a private nature reserve. Enjoy the stunning nature, tranquillity, and optional safaris (for an extra fee), as well as a great restaurant right at the beginning of your trip.
Day 2-4: Private Park near Kruger National Park (approx. 250 km)
Spend two days in a private game reserve near Kruger Park, where you can experience wildlife right outside your lodge. Participate in two safaris daily and enjoy full board.
Day 4-6: Hazyview (approx. 100 km)
After an early morning safari at your lodge, head to Hazyview for two nights. You can book another safari here. Explore the stunning landscapes around the Blyde River Canyon. The 4-star accommodation is centrally located for all activities, and the lodge owners and managers will happily provide additional tips.
Day 6-7: Swaziland (approx. 220 km)
Drive through the Kingdom of Swaziland and admire the beautiful landscape.
Day 7-10: St. Lucia (approx. 350 km)
Continue to the northeastern coast of South Africa, to St. Lucia. Expect gorgeous beaches and the famous Wetlands Park, home to many crocodiles and hippos. Stay here for three nights, including a boat safari and an additional safari in an open jeep.
Day 10-12: Ballito (approx. 200 km)
Next, head to Ballito, near Durban, along the stunning coast. Ballito offers beautiful beaches for relaxation, or you can take a day trip to Durban.
Day 12-14: Nambiti Private Game Reserve (approx. 280 km)
Head inland to Nambiti Private Game Reserve. This reserve offers the Big 5 and amazing landscapes. Your lodge will provide full board again. Enjoy two safaris in an open jeep each day.
Day 14-15: Johannesburg (approx. 400 km)
After another morning safari and breakfast, drive back to Johannesburg. Spend one last night in a peaceful neighbourhood in a 5-star guesthouse before heading home the next day.

Stay two extra days in South Africa at a boutique guesthouse in the Drakensberg Mountains. You’ll be surrounded by a unique natural landscape!
